As far as grilled seafood, nothing compares to shrimp. With just a few spices to bring out the flavor, shrimp is a great way to cookout during the summertime with good friends. I especially like the quick cooking time so that I can get down to the business of enjoyment! Paired with a salad and a crisp white wine, grilled shrimp is a winner.
Spice Rubbed Shrimp on the Grill

Ingredients
12 large shrimp, shelled and deveined
1/8 cup olive oil
- Spice Rub
2 tsp Kosher salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp dried thyme
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, coat shrimp with olive oil.
- Add spice rub and mix to coat all shrimp.
- Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Place 4 shrimp each on wooden skewers.
- Grill directly over coals. 2-3 minutes on each side.
